Whiskey Circus - (2005) This was a fun one to write and record. I messed around with some different recording techniques, my classic Moog Prodigy, and some other fun toys. This probably has the best mixture of songwriting. There's a real blend of genres and I was stretching out a bit more in seeing what I was capable of. It's certainly not great, but for the time and place I was satisfied with the experiment, particularly with my minimal recording equipment. It was fun. -
Now That You're Gone - (2005) I was getting really into the blues here and experimenting with different interpretations and completely stripping down the recordings. I ended up cutting out much of the background instrumentation, solos, and harmony tracks to get a grittier, delta blues meets electric blues feel. The result is a darker record, but I wasn't all that happy with it.
Whisky Wake-Up Calls - (2002) One of my first attempts at recording my songs, this was a great learning experience. It's essentially a bunch of acoustic demos. It was fun and I learned a lot, and for the time and place and almost no real equipment, it was basically what I expected.
